Ford Territory

The Ford Territory is a Sports Utility Vehicle which is designed by Ford Australia. This vehicle is classified as a crossover SUV, and it uses the EA169 platform. The Ford Territory was first introduced in 2004, and it was given the Wheels Car of the Year award for that year. Critics were impressed with the handling of the car, and they were also impressed with its practicality. Many critics have even said that the Ford Territory is comparable to the BMW X5, but it costs much less.

Ford spent nearly a half a billion dollars developed this SUV over a period of four years. The Territory is produced on the same production line which is used to produce the Falcon. While many Ford enthusiasts felt that the Territory would be the replacement of the Falcon, this was not the case, and the twoford territory co-exist. Private buyers are generally the people who prefer the Territory. All of these SUVs use a basic all wheel drive system, but the TS variation has more luxury options.

A DVD player can be added to all the models, and Ford also offers side airbags. The customer also has the option of adding five seats, and a grand total of seven seats can be added. The first model of the Territory was called the SX, and it was developed between 2004 and 2005. This car also uses the 4.0L DOHC straight six engine. The Territory can produce a maximum of 245 horse power.

It should also be noted that the all wheel drive versions will come with the Hill Descent Control System. This system will use the ABS braking system to control the car while it’s moving downhill. This feature was borrowed from the Land Rover. The New Zealand models have a look which is slightly different from their American counterparts.
